Website - Booking websites in Markee

Requirements:​

The specifics of assigning the licence are covered here in the article below. The template for the website must have been defined beforehand and deposited with us.

Imprint and privacy policy​

The template specifies the handling of the imprint and the privacy policy. For each template it can be defined whether the imprint and / or privacy policy should be stored in a standardised way (text or link) or whether the imprint and / or privacy policy must be maintained individually for each end customer.

Example case:  Imprint and privacy policy individually per end customer

Before the licence can be assigned in Markee, the imprint and data protection area must be maintained in Markee. This can be done at company level in the "Details" area with global use for all locations or at location level under "Additional information". To do this, store the link to the imprint in the field "URL for imprint" or an imprint text in the field "Imprint".

To enter the privacy policy information, use the corresponding field in Markee:

The link to the privacy policy can be entered in the "Privacy URL" field; alternatively, the privacy policy can also be entered in the "Privacy Policy" text field.

Assign licence​

After the licence has been assigned, the following window opens:

Explanation of the fields:

  1. Enter the start date of the licence Enter the start date of the maximum 2-month preview here (as of 18.08.2020). If the start date is reached, the preview is generated and during the following 2 months the licence can be activated for a paid subscription. If the website is to be launched on 15.10., the preview must be saved as the launch date on 15.08. at the earliest. In the period 15.08. - 15.10. the licence can then be activated for a paid booking, otherwise the licence expires if it is not activated during this 2-month period.
  2. End date (optional): can be created permanently for an unlimited period or stored with an end date.
  3. External Id (optional): Field for an external order number
  4. Internal Note (optional): Field for internal notes
  5. Website template: select the desired template here
  6. Domain: if the product was defined with a unique domain, it is saved here With Save the Markee licence is successfully created.

If the product has been defined as a subdomain, the window will look like this:

Under the field "subdomain" you can enter the requested subdomain of subdomain.domain.de. With Save the Markee licence is successfully created.

Additional setting options in the Markee website licence​

In the Markee location, you can go to the booked website licence and make further settings for the website:

Explanation of the fields:​

  1. Short description: is a short description text that is shown on the web page below the location name.
  2. Custom script snippet (integrated since 29.07.2021): a code snippet for displaying a third-party widget. The availability depends on the template used, furthermore the placement of the widget is predefined by the template. Please contact support if cookies may need to be enabled for a new widget to work.
  3. Long description: if you click in this field, an HTML editor opens in which you can enter a long description text with formatting (h2 headline markup, font size, bold / italics, underlining, 35 font colours and bullets). The text appears on the website in the "About" section.

If no long description is entered here, the text of the company description from the additional information is automatically used.

  1. Main colour: colour code of the buttons

If there is nothing in this field, the default value from the product is used.

  1. Hover colour: colour code of the buttons when the user moves the mouse over the button.

If there is nothing in this field, the default value from the product will be used.

  1. Cover 1: Photo that is displayed on the first view of the web page
  2. Cover 2: Photo that is displayed in the background in the "About" section

Image size​

There are no restrictions regarding the pixels. The image must not be larger than 5 MB.

Activation of the maximum 2-month preview for a paid subscription​

If the licence is started in Markee, a 2-month preview is created. This can be activated in a maximum of 2 months for a paid subscription. This works via the grey button "Activate", which turns green after the click and also updates the start date of the Markee licence to today's date. If the Markee licence is not activated via the licence extension within 2 months after the start date, a new licence must be created. Please also check the setting of the end date here.

The Activate button has to be activated only when the website URL (preview) is visible.

Use of the website for other campaigns​

Information regarding the allocation of the domain name​

A website is usually booked in connection with an SEA campaign in order to lead the potential interested party to the website created. The advertising platforms have guidelines for the placement of ads. For example, Google does not allow a brand name to be included in a subdomain. If an SEA campaign refers to such a subdomain, the SEA campaign will be rejected by Google. In this case, the campaign can only be continued with a link to a "brand-neutral" page.

When assigning the domain name, please observe the guidelines of the corresponding platform to avoid rejections when booking the SEA campaign.

  1. The use of the branded call tracking number must have been created in the template beforehand.
  2. The call tracking number must be assigned to the website
