Dynamic Video

Markee gives you the opportunity to create a company video quickly and easily. This video can include location information such as address, contact information, opening hours, social media profiles.

Requirements ​

First, licence needs to be assigned in Markee. Before you can create a video, the desired template must have been defined and saved by us. The template defines the music and the animation sequence. If you want different designs for the videos, a template is required for each. If you have any questions, please contact our support.

Content​

The video always contains this information:

  1. Location name
  2. Address
  3. Phone number
  4. Logo
  5. Image URL of an external image

Optional contents​

  1. Slogan (adjustable under "Additional information" in Markee)
  2. Opening hours (can be set directly in the licence in the location)
  3. Social media profiles (can be set directly in the licence in the location)
  4. Homepage (can be set directly in the licence in the location)

Setting options​

While assigning the licence and/or after assigning the licence, you can add further content to the video. This includes the display of the opening hours, the publication of the website link or the display of the social media profiles. To activate or deactivate these, use the corresponding sliders. If you want to change the external image (image URL), you can change the link at any time. However, follow the instructions in the section "Update video".

Video creation​

As soon as all the required information has been entered, the video will be created automatically after the licence has gone live. You will then find the link to the video in Markee, with which it is hosted by the service provider Mozaik. The generated video contains all location data, image data and settings (e.g. display of opening hours) that were set in Markee or the video at the time of creation. In the field "Generated on" you can see the exact date and time.

Update video​

If you have made changes that affect the location data, image data or settings (e.g. display of opening hours), these changes will not automatically be reflected in the video. In order for them to affect the video, a new video must be created. How this is done depends on how the Dynamic Video licence was defined.

There is the possibility here that a video can be regenerated. In this case you will see the button "Regenerate video".

When you press this button, the video is regenerated with the data available in Markee at that time and the settings stored in the Dynamic Video licence. The generation date is then also updated in the corresponding field. The previously created video is then deleted by the service provider. If you have activated the "YouTube Upload" add-on, the old video on YouTube will also be deleted.

If the licence was created without the regeneration option, the button described above is missing and you must create a new licence.

Addon YouTube Upload​

At the moment Yext only accepts a YouTube link for videos in the listing, so it is necessary to upload your company video there. To make this easier for you, there is the YouTube Upload addon. For this, Markee needs a YouTube channel to which Markee has access after oAuth authorisation. This oAuth authorisation can be defined either globally for the workspace or for the individual licence.

The settings regarding the channel can be adjusted in the licence. If a custom channel is selected here, the oAuth process must be run through again.

After the addon has been activated, you can enter a title and a description for the YouTube video:

After these have been filled, the addon have been activated and the Youtube channel (with or without playlist) has been selected and authorised via oAuth, the video is automatically uploaded to the Youtube channel.

Deleting the video​

  1. Licence expiry: If a licence has expired, it is also deleted from the service provider Mozaik and the video is no longer accessible via the Mozaik link.
  2. YouTube: If the video is regenerated, the previous YouTube video is deleted and the new video is uploaded to the channel/playlist (Required: Addon YouTube Upload). If the licence in Markee expires, the video must be manually deleted from the channel/playlist.
  3. Regenerate video: In addition, the old video is deleted from Mozaik as soon as the video is regenerated (Regenerate video).
