Banner booking
In case you do not have a Banner product in Markee yet, please contact the support.
Setup
After you have assigned the licence, you enter the banner details.
Explanation of the fields:
- Start and end date
- External ID = can be used as external order number
- Internal note = field for internal notes
- Destination address = the link where the ad (banner) should point to.
- Priority= determines in which order / sorting the ad should be played.
- very low (for example for own campaigns or residual space marketing)
- low
- normal
- high
- very high
- Campaign type:
- open = formerly CPM campaigns
- closed = formerly CPC campaigns
Once the campaign type (open or closed) has been defined, it cannot be changed after saving. The closed campaigns have priority over the open campaigns.
- Upload your ad media
The system checks the images and only the formats valid for the advertising space are accepted
With Save, you will create the licence in Markee.
You have currently only created the order. The banner will not go live yet.
Specifying a phone number as the destination address
If you want to forward to a phone number, please enter it in the following format:
tel:country code+phone number
When entering, it is important that no spaces are used. Example:
tel:491234556778
Guide - How to configure targeting
In this guide we show you how to set up targeting.
Info on the details
- At least one of the two targeting settings must be specified. Otherwise the banner will not be delivered. Therefore, either BuID must be created under "Details" or "Advertising location".
- If you create a BuId that is not in the area of your publisher, the banner will not be displayed.
Info about the keywords
You can define the following match types for the keywords:
- Exact
- Broad
- Negative Use keyword lists: To make booking easier for you, you can copy entire keyword lists into it. To do this, please only specify how the keywords in the respective lists are separated from each other (e.g. by ";" or ",").
Selecting the separation method:

User-defined (here you can specify the "separator" you use. E.g. semicolon or comma).

German special characters are accepted, but the keyword should not be created twice (additionally with "ue, ae, oe").

You can also remove individual keywords at this point.
- EXAMPLE: You have two keyword campaigns of lawyers, one has the keyword "lawyer", the other the keyword "attorney", both as "broad match". If "lawyer" is passed as a keyword, the campaigns will match both keywords
Info on the advertising place
In addition to or alternating with the book ID, you can restrict the geographical orientation of the advertising locations. Please pay attention to the spelling. The ADITION system, which delivers the advertisements, does not use a geo-database.
You can define the following match types for the advertising places:
- Exact (if only an explicit suburb is to be considered).
- Broad (if the ad is to be delivered independently of the suburbs)
- Negative (if the advertising should definitely not be delivered in this location)
Use advertising place lists
To make the booking easier for you, you can copy entire advertising palce lists into it. To do this, please only specify how the keywords in the respective lists are separated from each other (e.g. by ";" or ",").

Statistics
You can find the banner statistics by clicking on the "Statistics" tab for the relevant location.
